All I want to know is, during the battle with Watson, how in the hell did you know that Lightningrod would be upgraded so that it nullifies Electric-type attacks?!

(For clarification: Prior to Generation V, Lightningrod only drew Electric-type attacks to the user; it did not prevent them from taking damage.)

In Mystery Dungeon (the original) it made one immune to long-distance electricity.

Sinners has been a guilty pleasure of mine. I found it a little over a year or two ago, and stayed up really fucking late on school nights just reading for hours. It's quite an in-depth story, I like it.
