Slash Takes On Chip's Challenge: Levels 1-8

The first eight levels of Chip's Challenge are training levels designed to get the player used to the control style, as well as introducing them to the various items and obstacles. These will pose no threat to my greatness.

CHIPS REQUIRED: 11

SUMMARY: A simple level that teaches you about keys and locked doors. All very obvious stuff, except the important note that Green Keys can be used more than once.

EXPERIENCE: No difficulties.

SCORE: 80 seconds remaining, 1300 points

SUMMARY: Movable blocks, crossing water, introduces Bug enemies.

EXPERIENCE: No problems.

SUMMARY: Ice Skates, Flippers, Fire Boots, Suction Boots.

SUMMARY: Tanks/blue buttons, toggle doors/green buttons, items and traps under blocks.

Experience: No problems, although the fire hidden under the center block surprised me.

SUMMARY: Clone Machines/red buttons, Bear Traps/brown buttons, bombs, introduces Fireball, Ball, Glider enemies. Shows that not all levels require finding chips.

EXPERIENCE: No problems.

SUMMARY: Blue Blocks (may or may not be real), Invisible Blocks (always invisible), Surprise Blocks (only visible after being touched). Shows that some levels have extra chips.

EXPERIENCE: No problems.

SUMMARY: Warp Spaces, Spy Spaces.

CHIPS REQUIRED: 1

SUMMARY: Introduces the various types of floors. Normal floor is traversable by anything. Dirt spaces block monsters, but turn to floor when stepped on by Chip. Gravel spaces block monsters and never change. Introduces the deadly Teeth monsters.

EXPERIENCE: No problems, although I always hate those Teeth monsters.

SCORE: 96 seconds remaining, 4960 points

Notes: HAHA, so easy. The training levels can be beaten by any elementary school kid.

Next, I challenge the first 'real' level: Nuts and Bolts.
