Lacks something. Maybe everything.

This kind of flash only works when it's something funny or original.

Whenever I can honestly say that "I can do better", you know there's a problem, because I suck hard at flash. But this is just a few words with what, two or three looping frames of heart-jiggling animation?

It's not graphically impressive. There is no sound. There is no interactivity. There is no plot, no violence, no humor. So what does leave us with?

Nothing.

I'm not going to trash you for graphical quality or anything, because I have no room to talk there. But, if you're going to make pointless flashes, at least make them creative and funny. Doesn't need a plot or beautiful graphics, just have some humor. Even the most crudely-made, low-effort flashes can be hilarious---even protect-worthy---if enough planning effort is put into them.

Whether the effort is put into the creative process or the flash itself, it doesn't matter. But creativity HAS to go somewhere. This is nothing new or innovative.

Your review is very good. You know how to help an artist and you are someone who should be a review mod. But I am not Tom Fulp, so this won't happen.

Have a good day, sir.

Classic.

Always nice to hear that song, and ever nicer to see it being used in a flash with pretty good animation.

I'd complain about its length, but...well, the song ain't exactly long, so...heh.

Good job.

Awesome stuff!

Despite being a long-time Newgrounds member, I only got hooked to Madness a short time ago. Hard to believe that I missed out on such a great series for so long!

Unlike some other's opinions, I actually enjoyed having Jesus take up the role of the protagonist. It allowed some new and inventive fighting to be showcased---the catch-bullets-and-throw-them-back thing was beautiful, as was the death ray attack. I also particularly enjoyed Jesus ripping the one enemy in half with telekinesis, and the head-grinder kill, heh.

Even though the 'unofficial theme' of the series has been 'no reason---only madness', I'm glad to see a storyline coming together at the end, even if a lot of it hasn't been made explicitly clear. If the series is continued---which I really hope it is, although I would understand if you're done with it---I'm eager to see what the effects will be of the reality normalization.

My only complaint---and it's pretty much negated if there are more episodes---is the length of the fight between Jesus and the dark guy. It's pretty clear that the two are equals (although I can't imagine how the dark guy could be killed, considering his abilities), so a long and exciting showdown would have been better. However, if the series is to continue---meaning this episode was just an introduction into this new and powerful enemy's existence---a brief battle is fine.

I hope to see more Madness eventually, but whether you continue the series or move on to something else, I wish you luck in your future animation endeavors. You're one of the greats on Newgrounds, and you've got nowhere to go but up---you've come a long way from the chicken dance, heh.

Uh oh.

Motherfucking Mew?

I call hax on Hitler.

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

Hitler is a Pokémon master.

Mewtwo is swell.

I'm glad Mewtwo has finally gotten over his personal issues and is ready to settle down with the Fuhrer of Pokemon. May they have years of happiness.

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

Mewtwo would make a fantastic bride.

Not bad.

Heh, I liked it. 'Twas cute.

That's pretty good for your first flash on Newgrounds, so I hope to see more work from you in the future.

aldlv responds:

of course you will see more...
I'm really really glad you like it... I'm honored...
thanx

Absolutely fucking amazing.

I would give my fucking kidneys to be able to have the dark and abstract mind that you have.

I think this flash serves as a great means of dividing the two different kinds of people...the ones who look into the dark and turn away in fear, and the ones who see what's looking back at them. Hence how divided the review opinions are.

And I agree that this would be a swell milk advertisement.

Bravo, good sir.

Fuck yeah.

Seaking. Fuck yeah.

Incidentally, I can't wait for you to get to Gardevoir. You know ol' Slashy's got an eternal boner for THAT Pokegirl.

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

I sure do. :)

SandSLASH

Oh ho ho, I see what Hitler did there. He wants to emulate a SandSLASH so I'll become sexually attracted to him.

...right? :-/

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

You saw through his plan :(

dis is excellent; jesus, excellent wonderful stuff

Spearow is an amazing Pokemon, and Hitler will be blessed when he gets it to evolve. Fearow's Drill Peck is wicked!

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE

I don't even know what this is! This sort of thing ain't my bag, baby!
