The good things about being a freelance writer:
1. I set my own goddamn hours.
2. I work from my house.
3. My editors are faceless guys, not constant voices screaming in my ear.
4. No sucking up to braindead customers.
5. I can do as many or as few assignments as I want.
The bad things about being a freelance writer:
1. You best be there hitting that refresh button fast, son, because everyone's looking to claim the easiest assignments for themselves.
2. You better be doing as MANY as you want, not as few, because you have to write a lot to make an acceptable living.
So yeah, my job's pretty swell. Infinitely preferable to a job dealing with people on a regular basis.
